online orders in 3 months

Brief

Kiln & Co. sold most of its ceramics at markets. The old shop had no photos of pieces in use, and checkout took five steps.

What I did

A shop built around one photo of each piece on a real table, a size guide with a hand for scale and a two-step checkout.

Result

Online orders were 2.1 times higher in the first three months, and returns for ‘smaller than expected’ stopped.

Kiln & Co. is a ceramics studio of three potters. Customers loved the pieces at markets but hesitated online, mostly about size.

Show the piece in use

Every product has one photo on a table with food in it and one with a hand for scale.

Two steps to pay

Checkout went from five steps to two, with shipping costs shown on the product page.

Orders were 2.1 times higher in the first three months.
