In four test stores, shelf pick-up rose 24% in the first month, and the team now prints its own labels.
Halden roasts six coffees and every bag looked different. They wanted one system that a part-time team can print in-house.
One kraft bag for all six coffees, a roast-colour stamp and two label sizes. I set the type, drew the stamp and wrote a one-page print guide.

All 11 clinics switched over in 6 weeks with one kit the practice managers ordered from a single print file.
Burrowfield had grown to eleven clinics through buy-outs, each with its own name and sign. They needed one name people trust at 3 a.m.
A paw-and-cross mark, a calm palette that doesn’t feel clinical, and stationery, signs and a tote for every clinic.

Three months after the relaunch the App Store rating had gone from 3.1 to 4.8, and calls about balances halved.
Ferrin is a small savings bank with an app rated 3.1. Most reviews said the same thing: people couldn’t find their balance.
I rebuilt the home screen around one number, cut the tab bar from seven items to four and matched the new card to the app.

Online orders were 2.1 times higher in the first three months, and returns for ‘smaller than expected’ stopped.
Kiln & Co. sold most of its ceramics at markets. The old shop had no photos of pieces in use, and checkout took five steps.
A shop built around one photo of each piece on a real table, a size guide with a hand for scale and a two-step checkout.

The festival printed one run instead of three, and the programme sold out on the second day.
Longhand is a three-day writing festival with talks in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The old programme was three booklets.
One 48-page programme with the three languages side by side, a colour for each stage and a fold-out map of the site.

The new blades were painted for the spring regatta, and members now order kit from the guide without asking for help.
Tidewater is a 90-year-old rowing club with a crest nobody could redraw. They wanted a mark that works on a blade, a flag and a phone.
A simpler crest, a stripe for the blades, a pennant and a short guide for the volunteers who order kit.

About 9,000 people came over two weekends, and the organisers kept the floor colours for the next edition.
Lumen ran a night market across four floors of a car park. Visitors kept getting lost between the ramps.
Floor colours, big painted numbers on the pillars and short looping animations on the screens at each ramp.

I’m Iris, a brand and packaging designer in Lisbon. For ten years I’ve helped small brands look as good on the shelf as what’s inside them.
What I do
Experience
“Iris gave us one bag for six coffees and a guide our Saturday team can follow. Pick-up went up by almost a quarter in the test stores.”
Marta Sousa — Founder, Halden Coffee Roasters
“Our online orders more than doubled in three months. Customers finally see the size of a cup before they buy it.”
Ana Ribeiro — Head of Brand, Kiln & Co.
